The first year: everything on one Saturday

The association allowed bursting only in the open area by the gate, so they skipped the sky shots, and they watched the total until it matched the budget.

They placed the order, a person confirmed it on WhatsApp, they paid by UPI, and a few days later the transport office nearest them called with the LR number. The boxes came factory-sealed. And on Deepavali eve they still walked down to the stall on the main road, for a few extra sparklers and to wish the owner a happy Deepavali. Both are part of their festival now.
